Below is a quick read Fantasy NASCAR Preview for Kansas. For more in-depth content, make sure you check out our Confidence Rankings!

Tier #1 Elite

1) Kyle Larson – This year at low-wear 1.5 mile tracks, Kyle Larson has been the class of the field. Larson’s won 3 races, but he could easily be 5 for 5 at reaching victory lane. In terms of Total Speed Rankings on this sub-track type, Larson ranks 1st and his average speed rank is 1.8, with him ranking #1 in 3 of the last 4 races. This spring at Kansas, Larson started deep in the field (32nd), had the best Total Speed Ranking, led 132 laps but late cautions cost him what looked like a certain victory.

Tier #2

2) Denny Hamlin – Denny Hamlin’s been elite at Kansas. Hamlin’s won 2 of the last 4 races here, and this spring he had a great car but slammed into the wall while leading late (in the process of getting passed). This year at low-wear 1.5 mile tracks, Hamlin has the 5th best Total Speed Ranking and minus Kansas #1 where he had a misleading result, Hamlin has a 5.8 average finish. Las Vegas is arguably the most similar track to Kansas, and Hamlin won there a few weeks ago.

3) Kyle Busch – This spring at Kansas, Kyle Busch raced his way to victory lane notching his 2nd career victory at this mid-west track. Since the start of the 2020 Playoffs at 1.5 mile tracks, Busch has a 4.3 average finish and he’s 11 for 11 at finishing in the top ten.
