Daytona 500 NASCAR Practice #3 Notes
NOTE: Don’t put too much stock in this practice session. I would suggest you view the Duel 150’s as the “true practice sessions” for the Daytona 500.
Hendrick Motorsports – Early in practice, all four Hendrick cars worked together in the draft. William Byron paced the group at the start. They shuffled around and practiced pushing each other. Late in practice, Hendrick practiced as an organization again.
Stewart-Haas Racing – At the start of practice, all four SHR cars practiced running together in a draft.
Joe Gibbs Racing – A few minutes into practice, JGR cars got out on the track and practiced as an organization. Austin Cindric also hooked up with their group early.
Joey Logano – Right at the start of practice, Joey Logano got out on the track in his backup car. Logano practiced running by himself to shake down his car and feel it out to make sure everything was OK. Larry McReynold’s liked Logano’s single car speed.
Bubba Wallace – Wallace said his car was solid and feels good. He did a shakedown this session. He’s done practicing until the Daytona 500 on Sunday.
