Auto Club NASCAR Happy Hour Practice Notes

Kevin Harvick – At the start of practice before completing a lap, Kevin Harvick backed his car into the wall. As now (4PM ET), his team is working on repairing his primary car.

Ross Chastain – Early in practice, Ross Chastain totaled his car in turn 4. He’ll be starting the race in the rear of the field in a backup car.

Denny Hamlin – Denny Hamlin was the first driver shown out on the track and he was one of three drivers who logged a lap before Kevin Harvick crashed. Early in practice, Hamlin was at the top of the speed chart.

Chris Buescher – Early in practice, Chris Buescher spun. He didn’t hit anything. He basically just lost it. Later in practice, Buescher returned to the track to practice.

Kyle Busch – Early in practice, Kyle Busch had some sort of engine/ drive train concern. Kyle Busch was posting fast lap times when practice resumed following the early wrecks. I’m assuming his concern was nothing.
