Atlanta NASCAR Happy Hour Practice Notes
Bubba Wallace – Bubba Wallace was happy with his car. Wallace had the best 15 and 20 lap averages early in practice. Wallace ended the session early since he liked his car. Wallace thought practice was fun. He said the new Atlanta was a half-half. Half 1.5-mile track / half superspeedway. He said his car was really good.

Brad Keselowski – During a pre-practice interview, Keselowski mentioned that he plans to race aggressively. With 20 minutes remaining while he was 27th he said, “That run felt like a loss of front grip. I’m a little worse than I was before.” Clint Bowyer liked him. Bowyer said he was making big bold moves.
Ryan Blaney – Ryan Blaney showed speed this session. 15 minutes into practice he had the best 10 lap average. His car looked very racy this session in the draft.
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. – 20 minutes into practice while he was 10th he said, “Turns 1 & 2 felt really good, 3 & 4 slides up … and rear steps out.” Felt better the longer we ran. She’s fast for sure.” Following a run about 35 minutes into practice his spotter said, “She looks good boys!” Stenhouse had the 9th best 20 lap average.
Austin Dillon – Ten minutes into practice while he was 27th it was reported that his car is good in Turns 1 & 2, but tight in 3 & 4. The #3 Chevy isn’t great in traffic. Late in practice it was noted that his team made steady improvements to the handling of his car throughout the session.
