Bristol Dirt NASCAR Practice #1 Notes
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. – Ricky Stenhouse Jr. showed good speed in practice. Ten minutes into practice his team reported, “Brakes are going away. Tick tight dead center. Not bad. Might need some more drive.” Midway thru practice, Stenhouse had the best 10 lap average. Late in practice his team reported, “Not a lot of rear grip, not turning. Team is going to make some more changes. Okay on entry. When gets to center car loads up and gets tight.” He ended the session 6th overall and had the best 10 lap average.

Tyler Reddick – The #8 car was strong this session. 20 minutes into practice, Reddick was at the top of the speed chart. Following his run which put him #1 he reported that changes made a positive impact. Reddick ended the session #1 and had the 3rd best 10 lap average. Reddick said his car wasn’t far off in an interview.
Alex Bowman – Early in practice, Alex Bowman spun. He didn’t hit anything or get any damage. Bowman was never high on the speed charts and ended the session 32nd. He was way down the speed charts too in terms of 5 and 10 lap averages.
Kyle Larson – The #5 car was extremely racy early in practice. 38 minutes into practice while he was 16th he said, “Turned better.”
Joey Logano – Logano ended the practice with the best 15 and 20 lap averages. Late in practice, Clint Bowyer said he liked what he seen out of the #22. Late in practice, Joey Logano spun.
