Fantasy NASCAR Asterisk Mark Report – Kansas #2 2021
William Byron – William Byron finished 6th last fall at Kansas, but that’s an asterisk mark result. In the race, Byron finished 5th in Stage #1, won Stage #2, led 57 laps but then during the last Stage while leading around lap 220 he pitted twice during a caution because of loose lug nuts. If that didn’t happen, Byron may have very well won!
Ryan Blaney – Last fall at Kansas, Ryan Blaney was clearly a top ten contender, but he finished an asterisk mark 37th after having multiple problems. In the race, Blaney had a flat tire while running in 4th on lap 71, and then later on lap 224 when he rebounded back up to 10th, he had contact with Austin Dillon which sent the #12 into the wall which marked the end of his race.
Kyle Busch – How good was Kyle Busch last fall at Kansas? It’s hard to say, since Busch got into the wall early, and then later slammed into it harder around the midpoint which led to his asterisk mark 28th. On lap 21, Busch was running in 7th, but then on lap 23 he got into the wall the first time. Then later on lap 133, he nailed it again, but harder that time.
