Kansas NASCAR Practice Notes
Group A Practice
Chris Buescher – 5 minutes into group #1 on his 7th lap, Chris Buescher got into the wall hard which brought out a caution. Buescher had a tire go down. His team will go to a backup car and he’ll start in the rear of the field. Buescher said his car felt pretty decent before his wreck. His 5 lap average was the 6th best.
Tyler Reddick – Reddick was happy with his car and liked his balance. His team was making minor adjustments and looking for a little more speed around the track. Later, Reddick told his team that his car feels really good in turn 4 and going through the exit. Reddick tested at Kansas earlier this year.
Kyle Busch – Kyle Busch started the session with a 1 lap run and was extremely tight and his team took a big swing to adjust his car. In group #1, Kyle Busch had the best 10 lap average. Busch said he was pretty pleased with his car. Said it was fast off the Truck.
Kyle Larson – 5 minutes into practice while he was 7th he said, “Really aero tight behind the 6 car.” In group #1, Kyle Larson had the 2nd best 10 lap average.
Austin Dillon – Early in group #1 while he was 3rd, the #3 team reported that the car was a lot better than expected, just a little free.
