Tyler Reddick – Tyler Reddick has a fast car and in Open practice he had the best 5 and 10 lap averages. Tyler Reddick was doing some shifting going around the track. Reddick said his right rear tire was making a lot of noise. Reddick had some power steering issues. Tyler Reddick won the pole, but he’ll start in the rear of the field since his team will be working on his power steering problem.
Erik Jones – Erik Jones showed up with good speed off the truck. Jones wasn’t shifting. He wanted a little more turn. Jones was happy with his car, said his speed was good and that it was close. Jones had the 2nd best 5 and 10 lap averages.
Daniel Suarez – The #99 was 3rd on the speed chart five minutes into practice. Suarez had the 3rd best 5 lap average.
Austin Dillon – Austin Dillon said he was struggling with his steering. He wasn’t happy with his car because of that issue. He ended the session 9th which was disappointing.
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. – Ricky Stenhouse Jr. had the 4th fastest 5 lap average 8 minutes into practice. Late in practice he said, “Needs some more turn.” “That was a little better at the start.”
