Nashville NASCAR Practice Notes
Kyle Larson – Early in practice, Kyle Larson jumped to the top of the speed chart. Larson appears to have a pretty good car this weekend. Larson felt like the groove wasn’t as wide this year and passing will be tough. Larson had the 2nd best 10 lap average.
Bubba Wallace – Bubba Wallace was running good lap times. Ten minutes into practice he was 2nd overall and had the best 10 lap average. Wallace really liked his car and said he was happy with it. He liked his speed. When practice ended, Wallace had the best 10 and 15 lap averages.
Ross Chastain – Five minutes into practice, Ross Chastain jumped to the top of the speed chart. Chastain was happy with his car. Chastain did a long run so he should have a good feel for his car. 35 minutes into practice while he was 3rd he said, “I was too free to hustle it firing off.” “I feel like I’m going to spin out on entry, the rest of it, I can manage.” Chastain had the best 20 lap average.
Kevin Harvick – Kevin Harvick looked to be lacking speed. 35 minutes into practice he was 29th. He said he couldn’t get into any corner in any fashion. His ten lap average was the 29th best.
Chase Elliott – Following his initial run, Chase Elliott had positive feedback about his car. Elliott had the 11th best 10 lap average.
