Group #1 Practice Notes

Chase Briscoe – Chase Briscoe’s 2nd lap jumped him to the top of the speed chart. Briscoe had a lot of speed (for the time), but I’ll note he didn’t make a 5-lap run like most of the rest. Briscoe said he has a good car.

Tyler Reddick – Tyler Reddick unloaded fast. His 2nd lap put him 2nd on the speed chart. Tyler Reddick’s team seemed to be pleased with how the #8 ran. Reddick’s 5 lap average was the best overall.

Austin Cindric – The #2 car had good speed in group #1 practice. Cindric had great speed over an extended run. 15 minutes into practice among drivers on lap 5, he was the quickest with only him and Larson in the 107 MPH range. Cindric’s 5 lap average was the 3rd best.

Kyle Larson – Kyle Larson was fast. Ten minutes into practice among drivers who were on their third lap he ranked 4th. Among drivers on lap 5, 15 minutes into practice he ranked as the 2nd fastest and was one of just two drivers in the 107 MPH range, the other was Cindric. 15 minutes into practice, Larson spun and didn’t get any damage.

Ty Dillon – Ty Dillon was showing surprising speed, ten minutes into practice he ranked 5th.
