Fantasy NASCAR Asterisk Mark Report – New Hampshire
Kyle Busch – How good was Kyle Busch last year at New Hampshire? Who knows! On lap 6 while leading in the rain, Kyle Busch crashed which marked the end of his race. Currently at “The Magic Mile”, Busch has back-to-back last place finishes. In the three New Hampshire races prior to the last two, Busch ranks #1 in the series for average finish (3.7), average running position (4.0), driver rating and laps led per race (113.7).
Martin Truex Jr. – Last year at New Hampshire, Martin Truex Jr. finished 12th, but you can disregard that result. On lap 6 in the rain, the #19 was damaged and I think there’s no question that held Truex back for the remainder of the afternoon.
Denny Hamlin – Denny Hamlin finished 10th last year at New Hampshire, but that’s a misleading result. In the race, Hamlin finished 7th in Stage #1, 4th in Stage #2 but then during the Stage #2 caution he had to pit twice which dropped him back in the running order.
