Richmond Race Notes
Notable: When the race started, Justin Haley and Greg Biffle had to serve a pass thru penalty.
Ryan Blaney who started on the pole selected to start in the low-line. Blaney led the opening 128 laps. Those were the only laps Blaney led.
Big: On lap 8 while running around 27th, Kurt Busch was weaving back and forth on the track and was slow. A few laps later, it brought out the first caution. Busch said he had no fuel pressure. Busch then took his car to the garage. He later returned to the track but was many laps down.
During the Busch caution, most of the field stayed out on the track. Larson who was back in the 20’s was the first driver to come in. Justin Haley got the free pass at this time.

Notable: On lap 246, Cody Ware got into the wall which brought out the caution. Ware was in the low 30’s.
During the Ware caution, not many drivers pitted but Denny Hamlin and William Byron came in.
Notable: On lap 257, Austin Cindric spun which brought out a caution. Cindric was running around the high-teens at the time. Custer had contact with him.
Big: Around lap 260, Joey Logano who was in 2nd prior to the Cindric caution had a long pit stop during the ensuing caution. It dropped him to the back to about the mid-teens, which was the back of the lead lap.
William Byron, Daniel Suarez and Austin Dillon didn’t pit during the Cindric caution.
