Group A Practice Notes
Austin Cindric – Austin Cindric was showing good speed off the truck. Cindric jumped to the top of the speed chart early. Cindric had the 2nd best 5-lap average in Group A.

William Byron – The #24 car was fast. Early in practice, Byron was 2nd on the speed chart. Midway thru practice while he was still 2nd, Byron said the rear tires feel a little out of the track but overall he doesn’t want any major changes. Among Group A drivers, Byron had the best 5-lap average.
Joey Logano – The #22 looked pretty good. Five minutes into practice he was 3rd on the speed chart. Logano had the 4th best overall 5-lap average.
Tyler Reddick – About ten minutes into practice while he was 4th in Group A, Reddick spun but didn’t hit anything. Reddick had the 6th best 5-lap average between both groups.
Kyle Larson – Seven minutes into practice while he was 6th after logging three laps he radioed his team and said, “Zero rear grip.” Following his second run in practice which jumped him from 6th to 4th in Group A, Larson said, “Better.” In an interview following practice he said, “Not a whole lot of grip. I was really struggling … Need more grip and to be more comfortable. I don’t feel great about it yet, but I know our guys will hit on something.”
