Group A Practice Notes
Tyler Reddick – The #8 car was strong in practice and had good speed into extended runs. On lap 11, Reddick had a really quick lap time compared to the competition on the track at the time. In practice, Reddick had the best 15,20,25 and 30 lap averages.
John Hunter Nemechek – Early in practice, JHN climbed to the top of the speed chart. The #45 also looked to have pretty good speed over a run. Among Group A drivers, his 20-lap average ranked as the 2nd best. Overall, Reddick ranked 3rd between both groups in terms of 15 and 20 lap averages.
Chase Elliott – Chase Elliott unloaded fast. He was 2nd on the speed chart early in practice. His speeds over an extended run weren’t among the best though. His 15-lap average was the 10th best.
Justin Haley – The #31 car had good speed early in Group A. His 5-lap average was the best overall. 7 minutes into practice, Haley reported, “Pretty good.” Haley had the 8th best 15-lap average.
Noah Gragson – Noah Gragson looks to have a pretty good car this weekend in practice. Midway thru Group B practice, Gragson said his car is good, he’s just stuck in traffic. Gragson had the 7th best 15-lap average.
