Daytona 500 NASCAR Practice #1 Notes

Kyle Busch – Kyle Busch practiced in his backup car. He felt like his primary car was good enough to win the Daytona 500. Busch said his backup car drove the same as his primary. It had a lot of the same tendencies. They were so pleased with their car they don’t plan to practice on Saturday.

Bubba Wallace – The #23 is done practicing until Sunday. Wallace practiced running by himself. Wallace said his car was fast and really good.

Denny Hamlin – If the #11 was to his liking today, Denny Hamlin will have no intention to practice on Saturday. Late in practice Denny Hamlin said, “I feel pretty good about it.”

William Byron – 15 minutes into practice he said, “Ride balance is good, stable.”

Jimmie Johnson – Late in practice he said, “I really have no complaints.”
