Daytona 500 NASCAR Happy Hour Practice Notes
NOTE: Many teams opted not to practice in this session (Hendrick, RCR, Gibbs, 23XI). This was more of a “Final Shakedown” practice.
Brad Keselowski – Brad Keselowski said he wasn’t where he wanted to be in the Duels. He said his team made some gains in terms of speed and handling in practice. He’s confident and feels like they are in good spot.
Joey Logano – Logano’s team worked on handling. On Friday in practice, they weren’t happy with their handling. Clint Bowyer thinks the Ford’s will be the cars to beat. Early in practice, Logano led the pack.
Riley Herbst – Riley Herbst was out there practicing in this session. On Friday he missed practice for extended repairs following the Duel races.
Noah Gragson – Noah Gragson did some pit road practice. During an interview he said he felt good about his car. He said he’s learned a lot.
Jimmie Johnson – Jimmie Johnson did some pit road practice in Happy Hour. Pit road related things were a concern of his during the Phoenix test. Johnson was happy with how his car is driving.
