The Low Tier – Auto Club

Cody Ware – At Auto Club, Cody Ware has been consistent and has a pair of 32nd’s on his resume. Last year en route to his 32nd, Ware had a 34.6 average running position and the 34th best Total Speed Ranking. In last year’s Playoffs at intermediate tracks, Ware went 5 for 5 at finishing between 27th to 34th and had a 30.6 average finish.

JJ Yeley – JJ Yeley will be making his season debut at Auto Club driving the Rick Ware Racing #15. This weekend, I would look for Yeley to likely be about a low-thirties driver. In 2022 to close out the season, Yeley had five straight results of 31st or 32nd. One notable result over that stretch was his 32nd at Homestead which I view to be the most similar track. At Auto Club, Yeley last raced here in 2020 and that afternoon he finished 31st.

BJ McLeod – BJ McLeod finished 22nd last year at Auto Club, but I wouldn’t count on him finishing that abnormally well again. In the race, McLeod had a 28.4 average running position and the WORST Total Speed Ranking (36th). In the 2022 Playoffs at intermediate tracks, BJ McLeod had a 29.8 average finish over the combined events.
