The Low Tier – Las Vegas
JJ Yeley – JJ Yeley is returning to action at Las Vegas driving the #15 Rick Ware Racing entry. Of the low tier drivers, I think he has a good chance to sneak in the best finish of the bunch. At Auto Club, he was the highest finisher of the tier and finished 23rd. Last fall at Las Vegas, Yeley finished 31st and had a 33.5 average running position. In 2022 at high-speed 1.5-mile tracks, Yeley had a 30th place average finish.
Cody Ware – At Las Vegas, Cody Ware has high-twenties potential, if things go well. Last year, Ware had Las Vegas results of 26th and 27th. Last year in terms of Total Speed Rankings at high-speed 1.5-mile tracks, Cody Ware ranked between 33rd and 35th every race.
BJ McLeod – If you’re picking BJ McLeod, you know what you’re getting yourself into, and that’s picking the least competitive car on the track. In 2022 at high-speed 1.5-mile tracks, McLeod had the worst Total Speed Ranking in the series, having ranked between 34th to 36th in 6 of the 6 races. Last year at Las Vegas, McLeod had results of 28th and 30th. Look for McLeod to finish around that range again on Sunday.
