The Low Tier – COTA
Cody Ware – Look for Cody Ware to finish around 30th at COTA. Ware has competed in both races here and his combined average finish is 29.5. Last year, Ware finished 27th, and in 2021 he finished 32nd. In 2022 over the five road course races he competed, Ware had a 29.8 average finish.
Conor Daly – At COTA, The Money Team is returning, and Conor Daly will be piloting the #50. I think equipment will be a big question mark, and I don’t have faith that they’ll go the distance. That said, Kaz Grala completed all the laps in this ride last year and finished 25th, so I guess there is hope. Last year at the Charlotte Roval in his first Cup start while competing for “The Money Team”, Daly finished three laps down in 34th.
Josh Bilicki – Josh Bilicki will be driving the #78, AKA, BJ McLeod’s car at COTA. Just based on equipment, you can pencil him in for a +30’s finish. Drivers can’t overcome this equipment unless the level of attrition is sky high. Last year when Andy Lally drove the #78 at COTA, he finished dead last due to suspension issues. Last year in the #77 which is more competitive, Bilicki finished 22nd at COTA.
