The Low Tier – Richmond
Chandler Smith – At Richmond, Chandler Smith will be making his Cup debut driving a third entry for Kaulig Racing. Is Kaulig capable of providing a third competitive car? I have questions if they can even provide two. At Richmond, I would view him as about a mid-20’s driver heading into the weekend.
JJ Yeley – JJ Yeley will be piloting the Rick Ware Racing #15 at Richmond and I think it’s best to have low 30’s expectations. Over Yeley’s last six races at “The Action Track” he’s 6 for 6 at finishing between 32nd to 34th. Last year in this ride, Yeley had results of 32nd and 33rd.
Anthony Alfredo – At Richmond, Anthony Alfredo is making his Cup return, but take note he’ll be driving the #78, AKA, BJ McLeod’s car. This will also be his Next Gen debut, and I think you can safely pencil Alfredo in for a 30’s result. Last year at Richmond in this ride, McLeod had results of 33rd and 34th.
Cody Ware – At Richmond, look for Cody Ware to be quite uncompetitive and likely finish in the 30’s. Ware has three starts at “The Action Track” under his belt and his finishes are 34th, 36th and 36th. At Phoenix this spring, Ware finished 34th.
