Kurt Busch who started in 2nd in the inside row led the opening two laps.

On lap 10, Kyle Busch passed Hamlin for the lead and then led the next 30 laps.
Big: On lap 18, the caution came out when Chris Buescher and Ryan Preece got together and spun. They were running 24th and 25th. Noah Gragson was also involved. It dropped Buescher and Gragson a lap down, and somehow Preece was now out.
Notable: During the lap 18 caution, Martin Truex Jr. and Ryan Blaney were both caught speeding on pit road. Todd Gilliland had an uncontrolled tire.

Notable: On lap 47 after just getting passed for the lead, Kyle Busch got loose and spun. Busch got slightly into the wall, but his car appeared to ultimately be fine. This dropped Busch a lap down.

Notable: During the Stage #1 caution, Kevin Harvick’s team lifted up his hood. I think it was just to make adjustments, but I’m not 100% on this.
On lap 110, Harrison Burton was mentioned to have gotten into the wall.

On lap 138, Kyle Larson radioed his team that it was the worst race of his life and it’s not even halfway. He was back in 25th at the time.

Big: On lap 146 while running in 9th, Austin Cindric had a flat tire and crashed. This marked the end of his race. In a post DNF interview, Austin Cindric mentioned how he had a good car.
Chase Elliott who was leading during the Austin Cindric caution was happy with his car. He said his balance was the best its been.
Notable: Christopher Bell had an extended pit stop during the Cindric caution.

Big: On lap 186, Chase Elliott was doing a slide job on Daniel Suarez for 2nd but got into the wall and then later that lap he spun which brought out the caution. The #9 had some damage from getting into the wall. This marked the end of the race for Elliott due to the damaged vehicle policy.
Big: During the restart following the Elliott caution, a “Big One” ensued. Drivers collected were Harvick, Keselowski, Hamlin, Blaney, Truex, Gragson, Burton, Wallace, Byron, McDowell, Gilliland and Kurt Busch. This marked the end of the race for Wallace, Blaney, Keselowski, Byron and Kurt Busch.
Thru Stage #2 it was mentioned that just 13 cars at that point weren’t involved in either an accident or spin up until that point.
