Michigan NASCAR Practice Notes
Group A Practice Notes
Noah Gragson – Noah Gragson is suspended indefinitely. Josh Berry will be driving the #42 at Michigan. Berry was in the bottom third of Group A in terms of overall speed.
Alex Bowman – The #48 was showing good speed in practice and five minutes into Group A, Bowman was at the top of the speed chart. Bowman reported that his car is a little tight in turns 3/4 and loose in 1/2. Bowman had the 3rd best 10-lap average in Group A.
William Byron – The #24 was fast in practice and had great speed. Byron had the best 5 and 10-lap averages in Group A. Byron said he practiced in traffic. He felt confident about his car.
Chase Elliott – The #9 was fast and Elliott reported that he had good positivity off the wall and comfort on entry is good. 15 minutes into practice, he ranked 6th overall. Elliott had the 5th best 10-lap average in Group A.
Kyle Busch – The #8 was strong in practice and had good speed. Busch had the 2nd best 10-lap and ranked 1st among those who did 15 and 20 lap runs in Group A. Jeff Burton said Busch had really good speed.
