Asterisk Mark Report – Kansas (#1 2023)
Kyle Busch – This spring at Kansas, Kyle Busch was a top five contender but finished an asterisk mark 35th. In the race, Busch was in 5th on lap 156 but then shortly after that a caution came out which put him back in traffic, and then Busch crashed shortly after a restart.
Christopher Bell – Christopher Bell was a top five contender this spring at Kansas but finished an asterisk mark 36th after crashing on lap 158 while running in 8th. In terms of Total Speed Rankings, Bell ranked 5th.
Ty Gibbs – Ty Gibbs was a top ten contender this spring at Kansas but he finished a misleading 34th. In the race, Gibbs finished 3rd in Stage #1 but then late in Stage #2 while running in 8th, Gibbs had a slow pit stop (had to backup) that dropped him back to the 20’s. Gibbs rallied back up to 8th on lap 176, but then that very lap he crashed.
