The Low Tier – Kansas

JJ Yeley – JJ Yeley has a knack for sneaking in better than expected results in Rick Ware Racing equipment, and he might just do it again this weekend. This spring at Kansas, Yeley finished 23rd. Michigan is the most recent high-speed intermediate track visited, and Yeley finished 27th there. On Sunday, I’m going to view Yeley as a mid to high-twenties performer who has marginal upside.

Cole Custer – At Kansas, Cole Custer will be returning to Cup competition to drive the #51. Michigan is by far the most similar track he’s raced at this year over his five starts in 2023 and at that venue he finished 25th in August. On Sunday, look for Custer to be a mid to high-twenties performer.

Sheldon Creed – At Kansas, Xfinity series driver, Sheldon Creed will be driving the #78, A.K.A, BJ McLeod’s car. It doesn’t matter who you put in this ride, the #78 will be the least competitive car on the track. This weekend, look for Creed to be a high-twenties to low-thirties driver who will only finishes ahead of others who have major problems.
