The Low Tier – Las Vegas
Derek Kraus – At Las Vegas, Derek Kraus will be making his Cup debut, driving the Kaulig Racing #16. Last year in this ride at Las Vegas, AJ Allmendinger had results of 18th and 21st, and I have a hard time seeing Kraus match that. Also, making his Cup debut with extremely limited practice makes the prospect of picking him that much more unattractive for a driver who didn’t have a full-time ride in 2023 in any NASCAR national touring series.
Kaz Grala – At Las Vegas, Kaz Grala will be driving the #15 Rick Ware Racing entry. I think you can safely pencil in Grala as a high-twenties finish and call it good.
JJ Yeley – JJ Yeley will be returning to action at Las Vegas, driving the NY Racing #44 Chevy. I fully expect this to be the least competitive car on the track on Sunday. JJ Yeley is capable of making the most of situations, but I don’t know if he’s a miracle worker with this one.
