Group A Driver Notes
Ryan Blaney – The #12 unloaded fast and had a lot of speed. In Group A, Blaney had the best 5,10,15,20 and 25 lap averages. During an interview, Blaney said the track went thru a big swing in just 20 minutes. Blaney said his car was pretty good, but he would like to be better over a long run.
Bubba Wallace – The #23 had pretty good speed and was logging good lap times. Bubba Wallace ran the most laps in Group A. Wallace had the 2nd best 15-lap average in Group A. Wallace thought his team did a good job practice.
Christopher Bell – The #20 was strong over the course of a run. Christopher Bell felt like he had a flat tire in practice. Bell had the 3rd best 15-lap average.
Chris Buescher – About 10 minutes into practice while he was 12th, Buescher reported to his team that he’s free on entry. Midway thru Group A, his 10-lap average ranked as the 8th best.
William Byron – The #24 had good speed over a run and his 15-lap average ranked as the 4th best. Byron said the track was super slick and the resin reacts totally different than other things in the past. Byron said the #24 team has some work to do overnight.
