Group A Driver Notes

Ryan Blaney – Ryan Blaney had a solid practice session and showed good speed. Blaney had the best 30-lap average. Blaney said he was happy with his race pace.

Chris Buescher – The #17 was sporty and had good speed over a long run. Buescher had the 3rd best 20,25 and 30 lap averages. Buescher seemed pretty confident with his car during an interview.

Kyle Larson – The #5 unloaded fast and Larson sat at the top of the leaderboard early in Group A. Kyle Larson was said to be trying different things in regards to shifting during practice. Larson had the 2nd best 20-lap average.

Alex Bowman – Alex Bowman had good speed in practice. Bowman had the best 15,20,25 and the 2nd best 30-lap average in Group A.

Ross Chastain – Chastain said his car was tight during an interview. He said his balance was off and he was sliding his tires. He said he was OK over a long run.
