Dover Fantasy NASCAR Mid Pack Prediction / The Low Tier

Josh Berry
Dover Fantasy Outlook – At Dover, I think Josh Berry is a 20’s performer who might have teens potential if things go really well. That said, there is some reason for optimism. Berry did legit finish 10th last year but that was in the #48 which has recently won here and been a top five machine. In the lesser #4, you can probably pencil him in for a 20’s.
Dover Track History – Last year at “The Monster Mile” in the #48, Josh Berry had a hot rod and finished 10th. Additionally, Berry had an 11.8 average running position and the 11th best Total Speed Ranking. In 2021 in the #77, Berry finished 30th.

Michael McDowell
Dover Fantasy Outlook – At Dover, look for Michael McDowell to be a low to mid 20’s performer. In 8 of the last 9 races here he’s finished between 22nd to 26th, and that’s a trend I’m willing to believe in and his only outlier over that stretch was a 17th.
Dover Track History – Dover hasn’t been a bright spot on the schedule for Michael McDowell and you can typically pencil him in for a low to mid 20’s finish. Last year, McDowell had a status quo afternoon for himself and finished 22nd. Additionally, McDowell had a 19th place average running position and had the 19th best Total Speed Ranking. In 2022, McDowell finished 17th, ranked 18th for speed late in a run and had the 24th best Total Speed Ranking. In the six races prior to that, McDowell finished between 24th to 26th.

John H Nemechek
Dover Fantasy Outlook –Look for John H Nemechek to be a 20’s performer at Dover. I’m largely basing that off the #42’s weekly level of performance, and I think we should probably expect more of the same.
Dover Track History – At Dover on the Cup level back when he last competed in 2020 during the doubles, Nemechek finished 20th in race #2 and then 24th in race #1.
