Group A Driver Notes

William Byron – The #24 was strong on the stopwatch and logged great lap times. Byron was fast over his opening long run. In Group A, Byron ranked #1 for 5,10,15 and 20 lap averages. Byron was happy with his car and said it was really good. In qualifying, William Byron brushed the wall.

Denny Hamlin – Hamlin showed up with good speed and appears to have a great car once again. The #11 was logging good lap times over his opening long run. In Group A, Hamlin ranked 2nd in terms of 5,10,15 and 20-lap averages but he ranked #1 in terms of 25-lap averages. Denny Hamlin was happy with his car.

Chase Elliott – The #9 showed up with really good speed this weekend. Elliott said his car was solid during an interview.

Noah Gragson – Gragson appears to have brought a pretty solid car this weekend. Gragson said his car felt pretty good from the beginning of a run to the end of a run. Gragson had the 8th best 15-lap average.

Michael McDowell – The #34 was running solid lap times and his 10-lap average ranked as the 13th best.
