North Wilkesboro All-Star Race Fantasy NASCAR Front Runner Rankings / Mid Pack Predictions
Christopher Bell
North Wilkesboro Fantasy Spin – In the All-Star Race, Christopher Bell could be a contender, but I will note the #20’s recent form, with Bell finishing in the top ten only once over the last six races isn’t exactly a confidence booster. Bell’s an elite shorter-flat track performer and in 2024 on this sub-track type, Bell won at Phoenix, looked stellar at Richmond but Martinsville was pretty ugly. Despite a not so great showing last year and this low ranking, Bell might still be a factor.
North Wilkesboro Track History – Last year in the All-Star Race, Christopher Bell had a pretty un-notable evening for himself. In the race, Bell started 7th, slid back to 15th by the halfway break, got an uncontrolled tire penalty during the midway break and then finished 12th when the checkered flag waved. Additionally, Bell had a 13.5 average running position and had the 13th best Green Flag Speed.
Chris Buescher
North Wilkesboro Fantasy Spin – In the All-Star Race, look for Chris Buescher to be a mid-pack driver who’ll have a little bit of upside. This year at shorter-flat tracks, Buescher’s been pretty good and over the combined races, Buescher has an 8.7 average finish and is tied for having the 10th best Total Speed Ranking.
North Wilkesboro Track History – Chris Buescher had a solid showing in last year’s All-Star Race and ran better than his 16th. To close out the race, the #17 just seemed to drop off. In the race, Buescher had an 8.4 average running position and his Total Speed Ranking ranked 10th. To highlight his Total Speed Ranking, Buescher’s speed over the segments were 9th, 11th, 6th and then 22nd in the final segment.
Ross Chastain
North Wilkesboro Fantasy Spin – I can’t say I’m expecting much from Ross Chastain in the All-Star Race, other than a mid-pack evening in the small field. He was mediocre last year and the #1 team just isn’t at their best right now. This year with the new low down force package, Chastain has the 12th best Total Speed Ranking and an 11.7 average finish.
North Wilkesboro Track History – Last year in the All-Star Race, Ross Chastain had a quiet evening and finished 11th. Additionally, Chastain had the 13th best Total Speed Ranking and had a 16.0 average running position. To close out the race, Chastain moved up a handful of positions in the running order to his 11th. With 50 to go he was in 15th.
