Group A NASCAR Driver Practice Notes
Tyler Reddick – Due to inspection issues, Tyler Reddick will drop to the rear of the field and have to serve a pass thru penalty at the start of the race. The #45 had really good speed in practice. Reddick said his car is pretty good in any lane he puts it in. Among Group A drivers, Reddick ranked 2nd for 5 and 10 lap averages.
William Byron – William Byron unloaded fast and had a lot of speed which put him #1 on the speed chart early. About 5 minutes in practice, William Byron spun. Byron didn’t hit anything. Byron said his car had a lot of speed. He seemed optimistic since his team focused on turning better heading into the weekend and it did. Byron had the best overall speed in practice.
Brad Keselowski – 10-minutes into practice while he was 8th overall in Group A, Keselowski said “My landing’s not bad, but my center, 2/3 mark, just too free.” Keselowski never did a run longer than 10-laps. Brad Keselowski reportedly liked changes made to his car. Keselowski said his car was loose during an interview.
Joey Logano – Joey Logano said his car was un-driveable during an interview.
Ryan Blaney – Ryan Blaney had pretty good speed. Among Group A drivers, Blaney had the best 10, 15 and 20-lap average.
