Fantasy NASCAR Asterisk Mark Report – WWT Raceway / Gateway 2023

Brad Keselowski – Last year at Gateway, its best to not have any takeaways from Brad Keselowski’s 28th place afternoon. The #6 was down a cylinder early and it was first mentioned in the telecast on lap 41. On lap 35 just prior to that he was running in 21st.

Bubba Wallace – Bubba Wallace was a top ten contender last year at Gateway but he finished an asterisk mark 30th. Late in the race on lap 236 while running in 11th, Wallace had a brake failure and crashed which led to his 30th. In the race, Wallace had the 13th best Total Speed Ranking and a 14.8 average running position.

Tyler Reddick – Tyler Reddick had quite an eventful afternoon last year at Gateway but “Performance Wise”, he was a top ten contender. In the race, Reddick was spun early on lap 11 while running in 11th but the major problem that led to his asterisk mark 35th happened in the last Stage on lap 174 while running in 6th when he had a brake rotor failure and crashed.

Alex Bowman – Last year at Gateway, Alex Bowman was a low double-digit performer but during the final restart while running in 13th, he dropped a cylinder or something because he rapidly dropped back like a rock and was never up to speed which led to his asterisk mark 26th. Additionally, Bowman had the 13th best Total Speed Ranking and a 14.2 average running position.
