Nashville Race Notes
Ross Chastain started on the pole and he selected to start in the low-line. Chastain led the opening 42 laps. This was Chastain’s first ever pole.
On lap 9 it was mentioned that following practice, Chastain and Reddick were viewed to be the drivers to beat. They were running 1-2 at the time.

Big: On lap 17 while running in 10th, Kyle Busch made an unexpected pit stop. It was a right rear flat tire. This dropped him 1 lap down.
On lap 29, Ryan Blaney first mentioned having a little brake shake to his team. He was in 10th at the time. Blaney was also shown to have scrubbed the wall at the time.

Big: On lap 139 during the middle of a green flag pit cycle, Tyler Reddick just pitted but when he was coming back to pit road he lost a wheel and spun out which brought out a caution. Just prior to the pit cycle he was running in 3rd. This dropped Tyler Reddick two laps down.
Brad Keselowski and Bubba Wallace had yet to pit prior to the Reddick caution coming out during a pit cycle which got them towards the front.

Big: On lap 146 during a restart, Brad Keselowski had trouble getting up to speed and then back in traffic as a result, Ryan Blaney crashed, and Kyle Busch spun. Blaney’s day was over.
In a post DNF interview, Ryan Blaney said his car finally got decent at that point in the race.
