William Byron who won the pole selected to start in the outside lane. Byron led the opening 10 laps.
On lap 5, JJ Yeley who was in 34th crashed which brought out the first caution.
During the first caution it was mentioned that Bubba Wallace really liked his car. Wallace was in the top ten at the time.

Big: On lap 36 during the Stage #2 restart, Joey Logano who just won Stage #1 crashed while running in 16th. Daniel Suarez who was running in 19th also crashed at this time. Michael McDowell and Bubba Wallace were also involved but they essentially just had scuffs from contact.

Big: On lap 42 during the restart lap, Austin Dillon got into the wall and then spun. Dillon was back around 26th at the time.
Big: During the restart following the Dillon caution, Kyle Larson who was in 2nd was spun and crashed. The damage wasn’t too severe, so he was able to continue. Larson remained on the lead lap. Christopher Bell got into the back of him.
