Fantasy NASCAR Asterisk Mark Report – Pocono
Kyle Larson – Kyle Larson had a rocket last year at Pocono and was a contender to win but he finished an asterisk mark 20th. Late in the race while battling Denny Hamlin for the lead, the #11 ran him high and Larson got into the wall which had him fading fast to his misleading 20th. In the race, Larson won Stage #2, led the 2nd most laps (24) and was the leader at the time he got into the wall. If his race would’ve been incident free, Larson had a great chance to win.
Alex Bowman – Alex Bowman was a top five contender last year at Pocono but he finished an asterisk mark 24th. On lap 148 while running in 3rd, Bowman was spun and crashed via an assist from Denny Hamlin which led to his misleading result. In the race, Bowman finished 5th in Stage #2 and had the 6th best Total Speed Ranking.
Joey Logano – Joey Logano was fast last year at Pocono and may have very well been a top five contender but he finished a misleading 35th. In the race, Logano won Stage #1, led 21 laps but then during the restart of Stage #2 when he was back in the teens via pit strategy of others, he crashed which led to his misleading result. In segment #1 prior to his demise, Logano ranked as having the 3rd fastest car on the track.
