Fantasy NASCAR Asterisk Mark – Michigan (2023)
Tyler Reddick – Tyler Reddick was a contender to win last summer at Michigan but he finished an asterisk mark 30th. On lap 150 Reddick was in 2nd but then on lap 158 following his green flag pit stop, Reddick had a tire go down and then came back to pit road for a slow pit stop that dropped him a few laps down which doomed him to his 30th. In the race, Reddick had the 13th best Total Speed Ranking but take note his speed over the segments were 9th, 6th, 3rd and then 26th (when he had his problem).
Kyle Busch – Kyle Busch had a short race last summer at Michigan but he may have very well been a top ten contender. On lap 15 while battling for 10th, Busch spun and got into the wall hard which marked the end of his race, leading to a 37th.
Chase Elliott – Chase Elliott had a short afternoon in 2023 at Michigan but its more than reasonable to think he was also a top ten contender. On lap 35 while running in 9th, Elliott had a flat tire and crashed which led to his asterisk mark 36th.
William Byron – William Byron looked racy last year at Michigan and was a top ten contender but he finished an asterisk mark 35th. On lap 45 which was the last lap of Stage #1, Byron got into the wall hard which marked the end of his race.
