Kyle Larson – Kyle Larson had good long run speed. Larson had the best 25 and 30-lap averages. Steve Letarte thought Kyle Larson had the best car in practice.
Ryan Blaney – Ryan Blaney unloaded fast and sat at the top of the leaderboard early. Blaney had good speed over the course of a run. Blaney looked really good late in practice. Blaney was reported to have one of the best cars in turns 1 and 2. Blaney said he could run the top and the bottom. Blaney said his car felt decent and was fast.
Brad Keselowski – Keselowski started with a near +50 lap run so he should have a good feel for his car. Late in practice Keselowski said, “We’ve done a full 180 from the spring race. The tires are holding up, and the top lane is holding up.”
William Byron – William Byron looked pretty good. About 10-minutes into practice he was 2nd overall. About midway thru practice when he was 3rd overall, Byron said his car is “neutral but drivable.” With about 10 minutes to go he said, “Turn 2 needs to be better but fairly happy here.” Byron had the 2nd best 30-lap average.
Denny Hamlin – Denny Hamlin didn’t get out on the track early but the #11 looked strong and maneuverable. Hamlin was happy with his car. Said he needed some short run speed. He liked his car once he got going.
