Fantasy NASCAR Asterisk Mark Report – Talladega (#1 2024)

Michael McDowell – Michael McDowell had a great car at Talladega this spring and was a standout performer but he finished an asterisk mark 31st. In the race, McDowell led the most laps (36), earned the 6th best Driver Rating but on the last lap while leading, he did a bad block on Keselowski and crashed.

Austin Cindric – Austin Cindric had one of the better cars this spring at Talladega but he finished an asterisk mark 23rd. In the race, Cindric won Stage #1, finished 2nd in Stage #2, led 16 laps, had the 2nd best average running position (10.9) and earned the 5th best Driver Rating. On the final straightaway on the final lap, Cindric was in 13th so the carnage coming to the finish line definitely impacted him.

Daniel Suarez – Daniel Suarez finished 27th this spring but that’s a misleading result since he crashed coming to the finish line. With 2 to go he was in 9th, and then on the final straightaway he was in 6th before he crashed.

Ross Chastain – Ross Chastain finished 13th this spring at Talladega but that underrates him. In the race, Chastain earned the 4th best driver rating and was running in 4th on the last straightaway coming to the finish line but then he wrecked.
