Chris Buescher
All-Star North Wilkesboro Fantasy Outlook – Chris Buescher was impressive in last year’s All-Star Race but I have mid-pack expectations with him this weekend. The #17 team was super hot when the 2024 All-Star Race rolled around but I can’t say they have the same form right now. In last year’s All-Star Race, Buescher started 5th, finished 3rd, had a 3.4 average running position and earned the 3rd best Driver Rating. In terms of Speed Stats, Buescher ranked 4th across the board for Total Speed Rankings, Green Flag Speed, Speed Late In A Run and 4th Segment Speed. In 2023, Buescher had a solid showing and ran better than his 16th. To close out the race, the #17 just seemed to drop off. In the race, Buescher had an 8.4 average running position and his Total Speed Ranking ranked 10th. To highlight his Total Speed Ranking, Buescher’s speed over the segments were 9th, 11th, 6th and then 22nd in the final segment. This year in short track rules package races, Buescher finished 5th at Phoenix but then stunk it up at Martinsville en route to a 24th.

Ross Chastain
All-Star North Wilkesboro Fantasy Outlook – Look for Ross Chastain to race hard and have a solid showing in the All-Star Race. The #1 team is running well and a race like this is made for Chastain to dial up the intensity. This year in short track rules package races, Chastain has an 8.5 average finish and ranks 10th in terms of Track Type Total Speed Rankings. Between the two All-Star Races, Chastain’s average finish is 9th. Last year in the All-Star Race, Chastain started 7th, finished 7th, earned the 7th best Driver Rating and had an 8.6 average running position. In terms of speed stats, Chastain ranked 5th for Speed Late In A Run and had the 11th best Total Speed Ranking. In 2023’s All-Star Race, Chastain finished 11th.

Alex Bowman
All-Star North Wilkesboro Fantasy Outlook – Alex Bowman has yet to race in an All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro but I would expect a bottom half of the field performance. The #48 team isn’t operating at their best right now, and this race is full of the best. This year in short track rules package races, Bowman finished 7th at Phoenix and then 27th at Martinsville. In terms of 2025 Speed Rankings between those two races, Bowman ranks 13th.
