On lap 17, Christopher Bell passed Denny Hamlin for the lead. Justin Haley who was in the process of getting lapped slowed down Hamlin which allowed the #20 to get around him.

On lap 25 while running in 15th, Ryan Blaney complained about his brakes shaking really badly.

Notable: During the Nemechek caution, Ross Chastain and the #1 team got an equipment interference penalty. They were running around 13th prior to the caution.

Notable: During the rain red flag, Austin Cindric got a penalty for making adjustments during the rain. They had a fan pointed towards the #2 and NASCAR didn’t like it. Cindric was running in the teens prior to the rain.
