Darlington Practice Group 1 Notes

Ty Gibbs – Gibbs had good long run speed. Gibbs had the best 25 and 30-lap averages in Group 1. Ty Gibbs ran a lot of the fastest laps deep into a run.

Brad Keselowski – Brad Keselowski radioed his team and told them that he thinks his car is pretty good. He wasn’t high on the speed charts but that’s not a concern since he’s happy. Keselowski had the 7th best 30-lap average in Group 1.

Michael McDowell – The #71 was fast off the Truck and had good speed. In terms of overall speed in Group 1, he ranked #1. In Group 1, McDowell had the best 5-lap average and the ranked 2nd for 10 and 15-lap averages. McDowell never made a 20-lap run.

Ryan Preece – Ryan Preece was shown to have gotten a Darlington stripe about 5-minutes into practice.

Justin Haley – The #7 car had solid pace in practice. In Group 1, Haley had the best 10,15 and 20-lap averages. For 25-lap averages he ranked 2nd and then for 30-lap averages he ranked 4th. Haley said his car is super-fast this weekend.

Noah Gragson – Noah Gragson looked respectable in practice. In Group 1 his 15-lap average was the 4th best. For 30-lap averages, Gragson ranked 3rd.
