Ryan Preece
Bowman Gray Fantasy Outlook – Ryan Preece closed 2025 in strong fashion and in the Bowman Gray Clash, he’ll be looking to make a splash. Preece is often at his best at shorter-flat tracks and in 2025 at “The Paper Clip”, he swept the top ten with finishes of 6th and 7th. In a previous LA Clash, Preece was a legit contender to win until he had problems. If you’re looking for a dark horse in the Clash who might be able to deliver, don’t overlook Preece!
Bowman Gray Track History – Last year in the Clash in his first weekend in the #60, Ryan Preece was solid. In the race, Preece started 12th, had a 12.4 average running position and then finished 11th overall. In terms of speed stats, Preece ranked 10th for Speed Late In A Run and had the 15th best Total Speed Ranking.

Josh Berry
Bowman Gray Fantasy Outlook – If you’re looking for a driver down the depth chart who’s capable of coming up big but will more than likely disappoint you, then Josh Berry is the driver. Berry’s capable of looking elite at short tracks, and he ran great in both Martinsville races last year, finishing 10th in the fall and being the leader in the spring until battery issues ruined his afternoon. In year #2 in the #21, I would view Berry as a top ten contender who’ll have further upside.
Bowman Gray Track History – Last year in the Clash, Josh Berry started 22nd, had a 17.8 average running position and then finished 13th overall. I’ll note, he did get a choose cone violation penalty during the second half restart, but he was just in 17th at the time so you can’t say it hurt him too much. In terms of speed stats, Berry ranked 15th for Speed Late In A Run and ranked 16th in terms of Total Speed Rankings.

Kyle Busch
Bowman Gray Fantasy Outlook – Kyle Busch will be looking to get off to a fast start in 2026 with his new crew chief. 2025 was a disaster but he’ll be looking to right that ship. In last year’s Clash, Busch was a wrecking ball but in the prior LA Clashes, Busch was stout and had results of 2nd, 3rd and 2nd, so there’s no doubt he’s capable of showing up. Martinsville has correlation and he finished 13th there last fall. I wouldn’t be overly optimistic with Busch, but I would view him as a dark horse top ten contender.
Bowman Gray Track History – Last year in the Clash, Kyle Busch brought out the first caution and finished 15th when the checkered flag waved. In the race, Busch started 13th, brought out the first caution on lap 21 when he was spun from 16th, finished 23rd at the halfway break, had a 19.2 average running position and then finished 15th when the checkered flag waved. In terms of Total Speed Rankings, Busch ranked 19th but he was at his best in the 4th segment, ranking 12th over the final quarter of the race for speed.
