Daytona 500 NASCAR Cup Practice #2 Notes

Toyota = Early in practice, JGR and 23XI Toyota’s all drafted together in a mini-pack. They took turns leading the pack.

Fords – Early in practice, Ford’s worked together in a manufacture draft. They took turns leading the pack.

Chevy – Chevy’s worked together in a manufacture draft. To close out practice, they regrouped again. Chevy’s were the top 10 in terms of overall practice speeds.

William Byron – William Byron practiced in his backup car. His backup car looked pretty good in the draft and he even took a turn leading the Chevy pack.

Chris Buescher – Chris Buescher practiced in his backup car. Harvick noted that Buescher’s backup looked pretty strong.

Ross Chastain – Ross Chastain practiced in his backup car.

Austin Dillon – Austin Dillon said his car has speed and he thinks it’s good. Dillon had the top overall speed in practice.

AJ Allmendinger – AJ Allmendinger didn’t practice today. His team used the practice session to repair his damaged car.

Casey Mears – Casey Mears didn’t practice today. His team used the session to repair his damaged his car.

Ryan Preece – Ryan Preece didn’t practice today. His team used the session to make sure his car will be perfect following the Duel’s.

Christopher Bell – The #20 team was noted to be changing brake pads which was theorized to be more optimum for coming to pit road.
