Daytona 500 NASCAR Happy Hour Practice Notes

NOTE: More than half the field didn’t practice. Superspeedway practice in general isn’t too important.
William Byron – William Byron said his backup car felt just like his primary car and he couldn’t really tell any differences. He felt like it would be good and it was stable. He felt confident. Byron said he got a good feel for his car from Friday practice.
Chris Buescher – It’s reported that Buescher said his backup car felt just like his primary.
Ryan Preece – The #60 was reported to not be where Ryan Preece wanted it. He said he was wide open but had problems keeping up with others. Preece said he has a little work to do following his post practice interview.
Jimmie Johnson – Jimmie Johnson was the only Toyota driver who practiced. He did single car runs, and his team did some experimenting.
Josh Berry – Josh Berry practiced doing qualifying runs since this is the final big superspeedway practice session of the year.
Corey Heim – During an interview, Heim said he was conservative in his Duel, and he feels like he has a good car.
Casey Mears – Casey Mears practiced today for the first time following his Duel 150 damage. He felt like his car is good enough to have a decent result.
Brad Keselowski – Keselowski felt like the top lane might be fastest about midway thru practice.
AJ Allmendinger – Allmendinger said his car felt good. He said the track felt slick.
