Group 1 Driver Practice Notes
Carson Hocevar – In Group 1, Carson Hocevar never logged a 5-lap average. He did just a few mini-runs which were all 4-laps or less. Hocevar said he was worse than awful and super loose. He said his last run felt more comfortable, but his car felt nervous.
Justin Allgaier – Justin Allgaier practiced in the #48. Alex Bowman is out due to vertigo again. Allgaier said his car drove well and his long run speed was good. He wasn’t very high on the speed charts.
John H Nemechek – John H Nemechek had good speed and in Group 1 he ranked 2nd for 10 and 15-lap averages. In terms of 20 (tied for #1),25 and 30 averages for the Group, he ranked 1st. He felt like he needed to be better over a long run and said he corded a tire. Overall he was happy.
Zane Smith – Zane Smith had solid speed and in Group 1, he ranked #1 for 10 and 15-lap averages.
Chase Briscoe – In Group 1, Chase Briscoe was tied with Nemechek for the best 20-lap average. His 15-lap average ranked 4th. The #19 seemed to maintain speed over a run pretty well.
