Fantasy NASCAR Asterisk Mark Report – Darlington #2 2025

This chart is created from @BetCrushers of BetCrushers.com

Christopher Bell – Christopher Bell looked strong last summer and was likely poised to be a top five contender but he finished an asterisk mark 29th. In the race, Bell started 7th, finished 7th in Stage #1, was in 6th on lap 150 but then shortly after that, a caution came out and then Bell had hard nose/splitter contact with Hocevar on pit road and his afternoon was then doomed. In terms of Total Speed Rankings, Bell ranked 14th but take note his speed over the segments were 2nd, 7th, 28th and then 28th.

Ryan Blaney – Ryan Blaney had an eventful evening last fall at Darlington and finished 18th. In the race, Blaney started 12th, finished 10th in Stage #1, was in 13th on lap 208 but then shortly after that on lap 210, Blaney spun and hit the inside wall. Blaney was able to continue and rebounded back up to 16th on lap 310 but then just after that, Blaney was burned by a caution during the pit cycle after just pitting which dropped him back again. In terms of Total Speed Rankings despite all of his problems, Blaney ranked 13th.

Kyle Larson – Kyle Larson finished 19th last summer at Darlington which may not truly be misleading but I’m viewing it as one. In the race, Larson finished 6th in Stage #1, finished 4th in Stage #2 but then over the last Stage he just seemed to slowly fade back. Perhaps he got into the wall or didn’t keep up with adjustments, but something happened. In terms of Total Speed Rankings, Larson ranked 8th but take note his speed over the segments were 6th, 5th, 7th and then 27th.

William Byron – William Byron finished 21st last summer at Darlington but that’s a misleading result. In the race, Byron started 11th, finished 11th in Stage #1, was in 10th on lap 150 but then just after that, Byron had a slow pit stop that dropped him back into the 20’s and he just simply never recovered.
