Austin Cindric – Austin Cindric was a stopwatch standout in Group 1 practice. In his group, Cindric ranked #1 for 5,10,15,25 and 30 lap averages. For 20-lap averages, he ranked 2nd. Cindric complained about ride quality issues at lap 9, but probably everyone felt that way.

Carson Hocevar – Carson Hocevar has one of the best cars among Group 1. Late into a run in Group 1, Hocevar logged quite a few fastest laps, including laps 18,19 and 20. In Group 1, Hocevar had the best 20-lap average. Hocevar was shown to have gotten into a wall about midway into Group 1. He bent his toe link and his team changed it.

Among group 1 drivers, he was typically mid-pack across the extended averages, ranking 6th for 15-lap averages. Zilisch said his car has a little more speed in it and he feels more confident than other weeks.

Erik Jones – Erik Jones said he was free and sliding around. He said there was a ton of fall off. Jones had the fastest overall speed in Group 1. In practice, Jones had the 5th best 10-lap average and the 5th best 20-lap average among his group.

Kyle Busch – Kyle Busch had solid speed in Group 1 and he ranked 2nd for 15-lap averages and 4th for 20-lap averages.
