Martinsville Cook Out 400 NASCAR Practice Notes

Martinsville Group 1 Driver Practice Notes

Kyle Larson – Kyle Larson looked good in practice and was fast. In Group 1, Larson had the best 15,20,25 and 30-lap averages. Kyle Larson’s crew chief liked what he seen from the #5 in practice.

Joey Logano – Joey Logano waited about 5-minutes after practice started before he went out for the track conditions to be better. Logano was said to have good speed late in a run. In group 1, Logano ranked 3rd for 30-lap averages. Around the lap 50 count, he had many of the fastest laps among group 1 drivers.

Bubba Wallace – Bubba Wallace waited a few minutes after practice started before he went out on the track. In group 1, Wallace had the best 10-lap average and ranked 2nd for both 20 and 30-lap averages. Kevin Harvick liked how the #23 looked on exit of the corners.

Josh Berry – Josh Berry had good speed in practice and in Group 1, he ranked 3rd for 10-lap averages, 4th for 20-lap averages and 4th for 30-lap averages.

Noah Gragson – Noah Gragson locked up a wheel in practice in a turn early and apparently came in for adjustments. In Group 1, Gragson didn’t make a 20-lap run until late in practice and his 20-lap average was the worst.
