Bristol Fantasy NASCAR Mid Pack Predictions
Kasey Kahne – Bristol is a track where you don’t want to overlook Kasey Kahne. He’s a past champion who’s had some very strong races here since the reconfiguration. In the last four Bristol races he’s finished between 13th to 20th which isn’t great. This spring he finished 20th, had a 15th place average running position and earned the 20th best driver rating. Last summer at Thunder Valley he finished 13th and had a 15th place average running position. In spring 2016 he had a good car but during a late restart he got shuffled back in the running order. With 20 laps to go he was running in 11th. When the checkered flag waved he finished 17th, earned the 9th best driver rating and had a 10th place average running position. In summer 2015 he finished 16th, had an 18th place average running position and earned the 20th best driver rating. In spring 2015 he ran well but his race wasn’t incident free. With 18 laps to go while he was running in 7th he was collected in the “Big One” which led to his 37th place finish. (Yahoo B Driver)

Paul Menard – Bristol hasn’t been a bad track for Paul Menard. In 8 of the last 11 races he’s finished 16th or better. In 6 of those 10 races he finished in the top 11. This spring Menard finished 16th, had a 17th place average running position and earned the 18th best driver rating. Last August he ran well but finished a misleading 32nd after getting collected in a wreck around lap 370. At the time of that incident he was running in 11th. Last spring he avoided trouble and had a solid afternoon. He started 14th, finished 15th and had a 15th place average running position. In August 2015 he had a very disappointing performance, he finished 24th, had a 27th place average running position and earned the 31st best driver rating. In 6 of the 7 races prior to that he finished between 6th to 11th. (Yahoo B Driver)

Aric Almirola – Aric Almirola has been solid at Bristol when he avoids trouble in recent races. Since 2015 minus spring 2016 when he was caught up in an accident he has a 16.5 average finish. This spring he didn’t have a great performance. He finished 22nd and had a 25th place average running position. Last summer Almirola had a respectable afternoon and when the checkered flag waved he finished 14th. It should be noted he was aided by heavy attrition and his average running position was 22nd. In spring 2016 he might’ve had teens potential but with 64 laps to go while he was running in 19th he got into the wall hard. That caused him to finish 34th. In summer 2015 he had an OK showing. He finished 17th, had a 20th place average running position and earned the 19th best driver rating. In spring 2015 he was solid throughout the event. He finished 13th, had a 13th place average running position and earned the 14th best driver rating. (Yahoo B Driver)
