Erik Jones – Erik Jones is a quality fantasy NASCAR option at Phoenix. This year at shorter flat tracks minus the two races he’s had problems he’s 3 for 3 in terms of finishing in the top ten. In the last two races on this sub-track type visited he’s finished 6th. This spring Erik Jones had a great Phoenix debut. He finished 8th, had an 8th place average running position and earned the 7th best driver rating. Additionally he finished 7th in Stage #2. On Sunday look for Jones to challenge for a top ten finish. Daniel Suarez – Daniel Suarez is quality dark horse fantasy option Phoenix. This year at shorter flat tracks he’s had a great season. Over the five combined races on this track type he has an 8.0 average finish and has had a result in the top 12 every race. In the last three races on this track type he’s had results of 6th, 7th and 8th. This spring at Phoenix, Suarez was around mid-teens good but escaped with 7th place finish after closing strong during the final restart. (Yahoo C Driver)
Clint Bowyer – Clint Bowyer is a strong shorter-flat track driver who should be on your fantasy radar. On Sunday I would look for him to be a low double digits driver who’ll compete for a top ten. This year at shorter flat tracks minus Richmond #2 where he had problems he has a 10.5 average finish. In his last two incident free races on this track type he’s finished 7th. This spring at Phoenix Clint Bowyer was early into his tenure at Stewart-Haas Racing but he still had a respectable showing. He finished 13th and had a 14th place average running position. In terms of fantasy relevance I think that’s his only Phoenix race that is applicable for Sunday. (Yahoo B Driver)
